We recently visited Florence and while there, I had hoped to purchase a woman's belt that I knew would be well-made and last many years, as leather craftmanship is one of the skills for which the Italians are well known. I was disappointed that the only belts in the open markets looked as if they were made for men, as they were very long and had heavy, masculine buckles. On our return to the US, I began an earnest search for a woman's leather belt, made in Italy, and I found Artigiani del cuoio. I took a chance and ordered a handmade, braided belt. My biggest concern was getting the length correct but I followed the website instructions and placed the order. The belt is gorgeous! The length is perfect. The leather is supple, not stiff, and the buckle is proportionate to the belt, very feminine, and with a graceful curve. I know this belt will stand the test of time and I would recommend this seller to anyone looking for quality leather craftsmanship from Italy. Allow yourself time to receive your item as there are customs considerations when shipping internationally. I wish I could post a picture of it as it is exactly as pictured on the website.
